Letter from Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers,                      26th June 2017

I wanted to write to you to thank you for your support during the very hot weather responding to our uniform requests. We have tried to be as sensible as possible, and students have responded very well. The weather has changed again and from tomorrow I expect to see students back in their blazers. We will of course respond appropriately if the weather changes and becomes hot again. Students are permitted to take blazers off to walk between sites and at breaktime and lunchtime, and we of course permit them to take blazers off in lessons.

I also wanted to highlight to you an issue that has been in the press over the weekend regarding Snapchat. Snapchat is an app commonly used by young people. They have introduced a map feature which identifies the location of individuals through the app. Please take the time to read it, and talk through with your children, and oversee them changing their settings in their apps if they use this. There is further information on the two links below.

As ever please contact me on VWhitcombe@castlemanor.org.uk with any issues you wish to raise or to book an appointment with me.

Yours sincerely,

Vanessa Whitcombe

Headteacher
