Red Nose Day 2017

 Red Nose Day

Friday 24th March 2017

Dear Parents and Carers

This year Castle Manor Academy is raising money for Red Nose Day 2017.

On Friday 24th March 2017, we are going to be having a non-uniform day with the theme of “Wear Red”. Students can wear non-uniform for the day and should aim to include something red in their outfit. In order to participate, we would like students to bring a suggested donation of £1.

Please be reminded that outfits chosen should still be appropriate for a day of learning in school and students will not be permitted to wear items which are inappropriate for the school environment, such as revealing clothes. For health and safety reasons, the usual rules regarding jewellery and other accessories still apply.

As there may be other charity events happening, students might also wish to bring some more money in with them on the day.

The money we raise will help people living really tough lives in the UK and across Africa. For example, £2.50 could buy a mosquito net to protect a family in Africa. In the UK, £5 could pay for an isolated elderly person with dementia to have dinner at their local support group. On their behalf, thank you.

We will also be using Red Nose Day as a learning opportunity to help our pupils explore the issues facing young children across the world, and how the money we raise can help.

We really appreciate your support and hope that you’ll have fun helping Castle Manor Academy raise lots of money for Red Nose Day.

Yours faithfully,

Vicky Horne
